Luis A. Vazquez
President & CEO, Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Luis A. Vazquez is a distinguished leader in community development, public service, and health equity. As President and CEO of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, he brings decades of experience and a deep commitment to advancing opportunities for underserved communities.

Raised in Glen Cove, New York, Mr. Vazquez graduated from LIU Post with a degree in Criminal Justice. He began his professional career in real estate before transitioning to public service with the Nassau County Government. In 1990, he was appointed Executive Director of the Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans (CASA), where he led initiatives to support the Hispanic community.



Over the years, Mr. Vazquez has served in leadership roles for a variety of civic and nonprofit organizations, including the Nassau County Heritage Festival, the Glen Cove Housing Authority, and the Glen Cove Dispute Resolution Center. His dedication to humanitarian efforts has included coordinating disaster relief missions for Central and South America in collaboration with the American Red Cross.

A passionate advocate for health equity, Mr. Vazquez is a member of Northwell Health’s Health Equity Task Force and the Community Health Alliance. As President of the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Health, he partners with healthcare institutions and government agencies to address disparities affecting racial and ethnic minorities.

In addition to his work in health and economic development, Mr. Vazquez serves on the executive boards of the Long Island Association and CARECEN (Central American Refugee Center), where he continues to champion immigrant rights and community empowerment across Long Island.

In recognition of his enduring impact, Mr. Vazquez has received numerous honors for leadership, advocacy, and service.
