Adelina "Addie" Blanco-Harvey, Trustee

Uniondale Board of Education Trustee
First Latina President, Uniondale School Board

Adelina Blanco-Harvey, affectionately known as Addie, has been a devoted advocate and leader in Uniondale for over 40 years. A proud graduate of the Uniondale school system and current three-term trustee, she began her board service in July 2019 and made history as the district’s first Latina Board President during the 2021–2022 school year. She was re-elected in 2022 and again in 2025.

 

A passionate champion for youth, Addie has:

  • Advocated for children’s education for over 30 years

  • Served on PTA, PTSA, and Council for more than 20 years

  • Mentored Uniondale students for 15+ years

  • Participated in the NYS Latina Mentoring Program since 2022

  • Served Long Island’s Salvadoran community through Comité Cívico Salvadoreño

Professionally, she is Director of Operations at Premier Endodontics of Long Island, where she oversees six offices. Starting as a dental assistant 22 years ago, Addie worked her way up through roles in public relations and management. She studied at Nassau Community College and SUNY Old Westbury, earning a degree in Elementary Education with bilingual and special education extensions, and recently completed leadership training through Yale University.

Addie and her husband are proud parents of Uniondale High School graduates and college alumni. They continue to invest in the success of future generations in their hometown.
